Community Guidelines

Locker Room should make junior hockey more transparent and useful. These Guidelines explain what constructive participation looks like and what crosses the line.

Last updated: August 20, 2026

1. Share genuine experiences

Reviews should be based on your own experience or something you directly observed. Be specific about what happened and why it shaped your opinion.

Do not invent events, knowingly misstate facts, impersonate someone else, or coordinate reviews to unfairly raise or lower a team or coach's rating.

2. Criticism is allowed. Harassment is not.

You can describe negative experiences and give strong criticism. Keep the focus on conduct, communication, organization, development, opportunity, and other relevant hockey experiences.

Do not post threats, targeted harassment, bullying, slurs, hateful or discriminatory language, sexual comments, or attacks on someone's appearance, identity, family, or personal life.

3. Protect privacy

Do not share another person's private or sensitive information. This includes home addresses, private phone numbers, personal email addresses, passwords, verification codes, financial information, medical information, private messages, or other details that could put someone's privacy or safety at risk.

Be especially careful with information about minors. Do not use Locker Room to expose or identify anonymous users.

4. Keep reviews relevant

Reviews should be about the team, coach, or junior hockey experience being reviewed. Avoid unrelated arguments, personal disputes, political debates, off-topic content, or content that does not help users understand the hockey experience.

5. No spam, promotion, or manipulation

Do not use reviews for advertising, recruiting spam, repeated promotional messages, scams, unrelated links, or low-quality repeated posts.

Do not create or coordinate fake accounts, duplicate reviews, review campaigns, or other activity intended to manipulate ratings, rankings, or community perception.

6. Reviews are opinions, not verdicts

Different users can have very different experiences with the same team or coach. A review should explain one person's experience, not claim to speak for every player, parent, family, or organization.

When discussing serious allegations, stick to what you personally experienced or directly observed and avoid presenting speculation or rumors as established fact.

7. Reporting content

If you believe a review violates these Guidelines, use the report feature rather than starting a fight with the reviewer.

Reports may be reviewed by Locker Room and can result in content being left visible, hidden, removed, or escalated for additional review.

8. Enforcement

Locker Room may hide or remove content and may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts when necessary to protect users and the integrity of the platform.

Enforcement may consider the seriousness of the content, repeated violations, attempts to evade restrictions, coordinated manipulation, and other relevant context.

9. When in doubt

Ask yourself whether your review would help another player or family make a more informed decision. Specific, fair, firsthand feedback is more useful than insults, rumors, or vague attacks.
